Mass Spectrometry (Dr. Eberhard Krause)

Research Interests

Our group focuses on the development and application of mass spectrometry-based proteomic methods that are used to investigate cellular signaling processes. Our main topics of research have been protein-protein interactions and post-translational modifications and their functional consequences. In this context we are interested in acetylation-dependent protein-protein interactions of histone H4 which might further modulate gene expression. A further project addresses T cell receptor associated protein interactions which are mediated by reversible tyrosine phosphorylations and may function as modulator of cellular adhesion and migration processes.
