The GPCR-SSFE Database

is a web resource for initial homology model building of G-protein coupled recepors using a multiple template and fragment approach. Depending on the presence or absence of particular features, template selection is carried out for each transmembrane helix rather than restricting to one receptor as a whole.
The GPCR-Sequence Structure Feature Extractor (SSFE) database stores the template predictions, the identified sequence and structure motifs and homology models of 5025 family A GPCRs. The user can either browse the dataset or upload a sequence of interest for analysis and model building.

The effectiveness of our multiple template and fragment approach is demonstrated by the accuracy of our predicted homology models compared to recently published crystal structures.
