Peptide Chemistry

The new core facility aims at providing simple synthetic peptides to FMP research groups. Christian Hackenberger contributes his expertise for the synthesis of advanced post-translationally modified polypeptides as well as unnatural peptide-conjugates. Rudolf Volkmer, a guest scientist from the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin, shares his knowledge in the area of peptide synthesis, peptide libraries and peptide arrays on solid supports for screening purposes.
The Peptide Chemistry core facility is also involved in the project of Pro-Pro dipeptide mimics with PPII helix conformation in the context of the VIP BMBF project ProMiCom, coordinated by Ronald Kühne.
