NMR development

Solid-state magic-angle spinning (MAS) has evidently become a method for structural investigations of heterogeneous systems that were so far difficult to tackle by other methods. However, along with the work on structural projects, it is important to improve the methodology to make it routine and allow for the determination of ever more precise structures or complicated systems. Hence one of the main targets of the group is the development new methodology for MAS NMR. Currently our research focuses on three areas:

 

Development of dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP)

 
Isotope labeling strategies, the application of deuteration for MAS NMR
 

Development of a user-friendly standard pulse program library
